Creating a Gallery Wall With Posterlounge
Since moving into our home 3 years ago we always spoke about having a separate room downstairs that would eventually become a playroom. Now we have a little girl who is nearly two and taking over the house with her toys we decided it’s about time that we had this space for her. We have just finished the work in the house and converted our garage into a playroom, this was the best decision we could have made! The garage was barely used and seemed such a waste of space so I was so excited to get started on the work. We were recommended a building company called Empire and Sons who were fantastic, very professional, cleared up the mess every evening and keep us updated all the way through the work!
Once the room was plastered, flooring down and it had been decorated white it was time to start thinking about a gallery wall. I discovered Posterlounge recently through instagram and noticed how lovely all their artwork was. Posterlounge is a wall art site that brings together over 10,000 artists and ship across Europe. When I first entered the site it was a little overwhelming at first as I didn’t know where to look but after a while I came to a decision. The site includes photographs, illustrations and prints all of which can be printed in different sizes and onto different materials including wood and glass along with a variety of choices of frames.
For the playroom I wanted to choose fun, imaginative prints that my daughter could relate to such as animals, colours, shapes etc. I had quite a large space for the gallery wall so I began by measuring the wall and creating templates using paper to work out the sizes and where each of the prints would sit. I decided to go for all gallery prints which are printed onto glass creating a more premium feel and black framed for consistency.
My daughter loves rainbows so this was something I always wanted to feature on the way as well as the alphabet to encourage her to sing and learn at the same time! The other prints are cute animal illustrations which I love. Once the prints had been selected and ordered, I received an email to tell me it was in production and I’d be notified once the items were shipped which I was! I then received regular updates with tracking information about my order until it was delivered to my door which I was impressed with.
Ella loves her new playroom and the prints which ultimately make the room a more special place! To receive 15% off your order with Posterlounge use code JUSTABIGAIL15 at posterlounge.co.uk valid until 23.08.20
