CHARLOTTE TILBURY MASTERCLASS
I discovered Charlotte Tilbury when I lived in London 3 years ago and I visited the counter in Selfridges, just a few years later and she now has a beauty boutique in Covent Garden, over 100 products in her amazing cosmetics & skinare range and she is a permanent fixture behind the scenes at fashion week. Her latest addition to the range is her very own fragrance, Scent of a Dream which has been developed by Charlotte herself, the face of the campaign is of course her good friend and beautiful supermodel Kate Moss! I recently went along to a very exciting masterclass in Manchester which was led by Kelly Dawn, the National Education & Artistry Manager for Charlotte Tilbury. At the masterclass Kelly demonstrated the Golden Goddess look.
When I arrived at the event we were given a glass of champagne and a gift box with a couple of luxury sized samples including the clay mask, eye cream and the magic cream. Kelly began by prepping the skin with the skin Magic cream to restore collagen in the skin, plump and moisturise the face prior to makeup. This was followed by Charlotte’s Wonderglow which is an instant soft focus beauty flash primer that is powered by a breakthrough Fluorescent Core Light Diffuser! This was gently smoothed over the skin using her fingertips. After the skin was prepped, Kelly applied the Light Wonder foundation using a foundation brush for an even coverage. The Retoucher was then applied under the eye and around any blemishes for added coverage.
The Filmstar bronze & glow was then applied to frame the face and add a glow to the skin. This was applied using the bronzing brush in a sweeping motion to the hollows of the cheeks, bridge of the nose and a little on the forehead.
Moving onto the eyes, Kelly applied the Golden Goddess luxury palette, first using the primer on the eyelid and then building up colour with the other shades. Eye liner and full fat mascara was then used. To finish the look, blush was applied to the cheeks using a pop and swish motion.
The masterclass cost £15 and the tickets were redeemable on products. I ended up buying the Wonderglow Primer as I believe it really makes a difference to how your skin looks when your foundation is applied.
You can buy the entire Golden Goddess look if you click on the below image for £165. If you have the opportunity to go to a Charlotte Tilbury masterclass I would definitely go as you really do learn some great makeup tips and it’s a fun evening! Let me know what you think of Charlotte’s collection, do you have a favourite product?
