Beautyworks have recently launched an exclusive hair extension collection by celebrity hair stylist Jen Atkins in the award winning hair salon, Umberto Giannini located in Harvey Nichols Manchester. I was invited to the launch event at the salon to discover the extensions and find out about the different types of applications and what is involved. The evening included demonstrations of each of the hair extension that would be available in the salon; nano bonds, tape and weft extensions. My favourite technique was the nano bonds for their undetectable method which combines strands of natural hair with the extension hair using tiny, curved rings. This technique can last for many months, keeping any re-application to a minimum. The hair comes in a wide range of shades so it’s pretty easy to match to your colour.
