Zumu Street Dive NQ

Eating out in Manchester is one of my favourite things to do on a weekend, however my first choice of restaurant certainly wouldn’t have been Dive in the Northern Quarter just because I didn’t even know they served food! When Zumu Street opened as a pop up restaurant serving Asian inspired street food I was keen to try it out as I love Japanese food and had heard great things about this place. I have to admit that it was one of the best sushi places I’ve visited in Manchester and a little hidden gem.The menu had a great selection of sushi, sashimi and larger plates, I’d recommend trying out a selection of dishes from the menu including the beef yakiniku, chicken bao buns served with spicy sriracha mayo, duck gyozas and salmon yakitori which were my favourite! We went for a chicken pad thai from the larger plates section and it was delicious! You can’t go wrong with a pad thai, this has so much flavour and looked great on the plate. Now for those real sushi lovers, you must try the beef tataki and salmon and avocado sushi rolls. The rice is cooked to perfection, light and fluffy whilst still sticky! Each dish is beautifully presented and tasted delicious. This place really is a little hidden gem and one I’d get booked in for January when it is a little quieter.*The meal was gifted to me in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own as always.
