Over the last few years I have tried to visit different places to spend a week in the sun, this year we decided to go with all the family, including my 15 month old nephew! We chose Sani Beach in the beautiful region of Halkidiki for a number of reasons, the first being the short distance flight from Manchester to Thessaloniki, the weather of course, the fantastic facilities for children and finally the thousands of positive reviews on trip advisor and recommendations from friends about Sani resort. I am currently 27 weeks pregnant so going on a babymoon somewhere like Sani Beach was the best decision we could have made! Sani is made up of a number of hotels (Sani Beach, Porto Sani, Sani Dunes, Sani Asterias and Sani Club) each offering a different experience of greek luxury, whether your looking for exclusivity, adults only sunbathing areas, child friendly activities, fine dining, relaxation or gourmet there is something for everyone. These are some of the highlights from this beautiful greek getaway…
The final part of my honeymoon was in Singapore which is an amazing island full of shops, restaurants and lots of tourist attractions. We stayed at the Fairmont hotel, located in the heart of the lion city opposite the famous Raffles hotel. I was super excited of course to discover Le Labo miniatures in the bathroom of the hotel room, I just love the smell of the hair products and the packaging! Whilst in Singapore we visited Sentosa Island and spent the day at Universal Studios which was really fun, I felt like a big kid! We also discovered most of the shopping malls in Singapore as they are hard to miss, every hotel is pretty much attached to a shopping centre so it is amazing for anyone that loves shopping!
I have just returned from my honeymoon in Bali and wanted to share my journey with you. Bali is the most beautiful place, if you are thinking of going I would 100% recommend it. We began our adventure in Ubud in a hotel called Alila which is a tranquil and secluded hillside retreat that sits high up on the edge of the rich green Ayung River amongst the rainforest, surrounded by monkeys, frogs and lots of mosquitos! The room had an outdoor shower and bath which was amazing. We spent most of our time relaxing but we did do some exploring also. We spent a day visiting different local attractions in Ubud including the Monkey Forest, rice fields, coffee plantations, the market, the royal palace and also got to watch a traditional Balinese dance which is performed every day in Bali!
