Last weekend I had a hair appointment at Umberto Giannini, award winning salon in Harvey Nichols Manchester which is located on Deansgate. This was my first time at the salon and I was made to feel very welcome. Even though the salon is located in Harvey Nichols, it is surprisingly affordable and accessible for everyone, with a cut and blow dry starting from £36. They even have a student price list which is very reasonable, more details can be found here. The salon also recently won an award for the Best Salon in Manchester!

My appointment began with a consultation with Anthony the hair stylist, who made me feel very comfortable and relaxed from the moment I arrived. The technique used on my hair was contouring colour using balayage and face framing foil highlights using L’Oréal Professional Blond Studio pre-lightener. My hair was then toned using golden caramel at the front and platinum at the back.

Fusio Dose by Kerastase was then applied to my hair which is a personalised treatment to target different hair needs. My hair was starting to look dull and lifeless so Anthony applied Concentre vita-Ciment to strengthen the hair with a nutrition booster containing iris royal. The treatment lasts 5 washs and I can already feel a difference since washing my hair at home. I was then treated to a head massage which was amazing! Anthony then blew my hair and curled it with Cloud Nine Straighteners.

The entire experience felt extremely personalised and I would definitely recommend the salon to anyone thinking of trying out a new style or just looking for great look hair! Let me know if you have visited this salon and what your thought of it.
