Harvey Nichols Winter Menu Review
As you know I love to eat out and try new restaurants which is why when Harvey Nichols invited me back to try out their new Winter A’La Carte Menu, I was really looking forward to it. I have visited the brasserie at Harvey Nichols last year and was impressed by the food that I decided it was time to try it out again, this time the new Winter menu. In the current situation we find ourselves in I understand no one will be eating out any time soon and my review took place well before Coronavirus became a pandemic. Maybe this is somewhere that you can add to your wish list when all of this is over and we can all go out again. One thing I like about this place is that it overlooks Cathedral Gardens in Manchester, one of the few restaurants with a great view and relaxing dining experience.
The menu consists of winter warming foods including soup and spiced dishes with choice of both meat, fish and vegetarian. To start I tried the beetroot spaghetti, vibrant and pink, served with homemade vegan feta cheese which added the creaminess to the dish and a hummus dressing which was lovely. My husband tried the celeriac and hazelnut soup which was creamy and thick with lots of flavour. For the mains I decided to go for a tuna steak as it isn’t something I usually order when out and I am so glad I did. It was delicious and juicy, seasoned well, served with chips and a watercress salad. My husband went for the classic burger which you can’t go wrong with! A side of roasted parsnips were the perfect accompaniment to the dishes. To finish we tried the white chocolate cheesecake served with poached clementines that was lovely and refreshing, with a citrus hit and not too sweet! My visit to Harvey Nichols Brasserie Manchester was a press visit, as always opinions are my own!
