As you probably know by now eating out is one of my favourite things to do on a weekend. As soon as I heard that Australasia has extended the menu I was ready to get myself booked in! This place has the most beautiful interior design and relaxed atmosphere, the staff are so friendly and the food is excellent! Australasia is located in Spinningfields, if you’re new to Manchester I would certainly take the trip to this place even if it’s just for a cocktail. The menu is quite extensive, from sushi to tapas style dishes and larger plates there is plenty of choice.

The manchester restaurant scene has really upped its game in the last few years and there are new restaurants opening every few months which is really exciting! One restaurant that has been around for a while now and one that is a classic steak house is Grill on the Alley, part of the Blackhouse group known for their premium quality steaks. 

Every month the Lowry Hotel in Manchester launch a chefs choice menu in the River Restaurant using all seasonal ingredients. Three courses all for £24.95 is excellent value considering the quality of the food and expertise. The last time I visited the Lowry was for afternoon tea which you can read about here. The Hotel located on the edge of Manchester on the banks of the River Irwell and is the perfect place to visit for fine dining in a relaxed environment. The July chef’s choice dinner menu was varied with enough choice for both meat eaters and vegetarians. We began our culinary journey with the delicious bread selection and olive tapenade whilst deciding what to order. 

Grand Pacific is the new home of exotic cuisine located at the top of King Street, part of the Living Venture Group. When you enter the building you are greeted with beautiful interior, a grand staircase adorned with gold embellishment and hanging lanterns that feature around the bar area. The cocktail menu has an array of signature drinks that all sound amazing. I tried the watermelon martini which was fruity and delicious, it is worth visiting this place just for a cocktail!
