HONEYMOON IN UBUD, BALI
I have just returned from my honeymoon in Bali and wanted to share my journey with you. Bali is the most beautiful place, if you are thinking of going I would 100% recommend it. We began our adventure in Ubud in a hotel called Alila which is a tranquil and secluded hillside retreat that sits high up on the edge of the rich green Ayung River amongst the rainforest, surrounded by monkeys, frogs and lots of mosquitos! The room had an outdoor shower and bath which was amazing. We spent most of our time relaxing but we did do some exploring also. We spent a day visiting different local attractions in Ubud including the Monkey Forest, rice fields, coffee plantations, the market, the royal palace and also got to watch a traditional Balinese dance which is performed every day in Bali!
The beautiful Alila spa where I had a facial and body wrapBreakfast is served!
Amazing fresh juices were available to order each day, this one was carrot, ginger & tangerine!
We ate in a fantastic restaurant one evening called Bridges which was in Ubud, the food was incredible. To start I had the miso infused salmon which was served on top of tomato carpaccio and garnished with a salad of nori. This was probably one of the best meals I have ever eaten.
If you have visited Bali before, let me know what you did, I’m ready to plan the next trip!
