I was recently invited to the new store opening for Hotel Chocolat in Manchester Arndale which is located directly opposite the old store so it’s pretty easy to find, it’s downstairs in the Arndale close to Kurt Geiger and Superdrug. Having recently browsed the Hotel Chocolat website I discovered that the brand not only sell luxury chocolat goods but also have cafes, restaurants, a tasting club and even a hotel! The new store is quite minimal and contemporary in the design which makes it easy to navigate around the store. I tried the cocoa gin and salted caramel cocoa vodka which were both amazing, just a hint of chocolate coming through but not too strong, just depends if your a gin or vodka kind of gal! Canapes were served at the event including goats cheese wrapped in cocoa nip and cocoa gin infused salmon with avocado on toast. Cocoa inspired cocktails were also available to try. My favourite chocolate has to be the supermilk salted, if you have never heard of this type of chocolate before which I hadn’t it has the pleasure of milk chocolate and all the power of dark, meaning that you only need a little to satisfy your chocolate craving!
